LOEWE SPRING SUMMER 2013 LOOKBOOK
...And finally the collection I've been itching to blog about; Spanish Luxury label Loewe, in the hands of designer Stuart Vevers, roll out Spring Summer 2013. Inspired by “1940s images of Gary Cooper visiting Madrid and Picasso working in his studio” there are some gentle nods to styles gone by – wide leg trousers, neckerchief...on the whole though a continuation of familiar modern standards. As you’d expect, plenty of clever uses of leather and smart accessories, beautiful prints that could’ve been pushed further, flashy blazers and fine weather knits. A slick collection that should have taken a few more risks.
